The Plyos Beer House is a place with a rich history dating back to the 18th century when beer brewing began in Plyos. According to legend, the house belonged to a local merchant, Fyodor Averin, who was acquainted with an Austrian possessing deep knowledge in brewing. This Austrian left Fyodor a cache of secret recipes, which was discovered only in 2012 during the strengthening of the building's foundation.
The cache contained a book of old recipes written in German. These recipes were translated and adapted to modern equipment, allowing the recreation of the technology for brewing real unfiltered beer, preserving the quality and special aroma of natural malt and hops. Today, the Plyos Beer House continues the traditions started centuries ago, offering guests beer brewed according to original recipes.
The Plyos Beer House is known for its wide range of beers brewed according to old recipes. The menu includes both classic varieties and unique signature beers. Among them:
In addition to beer, they offer a variety of snacks and dishes that pair perfectly with beer. Among them:
One of the main attractions of the Plyos Beer House is its cozy veranda overlooking the center of Plyos. This veranda becomes the perfect place for those who want to enjoy not only delicious food and drinks but also the unique atmosphere of an ancient Russian town.
The veranda is furnished with comfortable and stylish furniture, creating coziness and comfort for guests. Here you can relax in soft chairs or at tables made of natural wood, enjoying a warm summer evening or a cool autumn day. The interior of the veranda is complemented by decorative elements that refer to the historical heritage of Plyos: old lanterns, floral compositions, and wrought iron fences.
The veranda offers a breathtaking view of the historic center of Plyos. From here, you can see picturesque streets, old buildings, and, of course, the famous Volga River, which flows gently along the city. The summer sunsets are especially impressive: when the sun slowly sets over the horizon, painting the sky and water in golden-orange and pink hues, creating an indescribable beauty.
