Where is Plyos
Plyos is located in the Ivanovo region, in the Privolzhsky district, on the right bank of the Volga River. The town is situated in the northern part of the region, on the Volga hills, at the mouth of the small Shokhonka River.
The nearest district center is Privolzhsk, about 16 km away. The regional center Ivanovo is about 69 km away, and Moscow is approximately 350–380 km away by road, depending on the route.

By plane
- Twice a week, a plane flies from Saint Petersburg to Ivanovo (the nearest convenient airport to Plyos). The flight takes about 2 hours. Ticket prices start from 3900 rubles. Check the current schedule on the Ivanovo airport website.
- From Ivanovo to Plyos, you can take a bus, taxi, or order a transfer.
- Buses run from the bus and train stations daily, every 1-2 hours. The cost is from 250 rubles. The journey takes 2 hours.
- A taxi will cost about 2000 rubles. The journey takes 1 hour.

By train
- From the Moscow Railway Station, you can reach the city of Ivanovo. The travel time is 17 hours and 40 minutes. In Ivanovo, transfer to a bus right at the railway station. The bus journey takes about 2 hours.

By car
Traveling to Plyos by personal car is not easy as the trip takes about 15 hours and 910 km. But if you are determined, here is your route.
Depart from Saint Petersburg on the "Russia" highway (M-10) past Tosno and Veliky Novgorod, turn at Vyshny Volochyok towards Maksatikha and Bezhetsk, through Myshkin, past Yaroslavl onto the "Kholmogory" highway (M-8), past Kostroma, then on the R-600 highway (Ivanovo – Kostroma, A-113) through Volgorechensk and Privolzhsk to Plyos.
