The main museum of the city is the memorial house-museum of the great Russian artist Isaac Levitan. The museum's exhibition consists of three halls displaying paintings by Levitan and his friends, personal belongings of the artists, a brief biography, and household items of that time.

The museum, based on a private collection, showcases a variety of artworks, including Russian and Ukrainian porcelain, Western European miniatures in the "nude" style, lacquer miniatures, and more. Each exhibition reflects unique aspects of cultural heritage, from mythological plots to realistic portraits and folk themes, creating a comprehensive view of artistic traditions and craftsmanship from different eras.

The museum, located in a historic building on Cathedral Hill, presents an exhibition that introduces the history of the Ivanovo region from ancient times to the 17th century. In five vaulted halls, archaeological finds are displayed, including women's jewelry from the 7th century, arrowheads, chainmail, and armor, as well as cult stones used in pagan rituals. The exhibition includes anthropological reconstructions, models of ancient fortresses, and a virtual fitting room that allows visitors to "try on" ancient Russian costumes or armor, immersing them in the atmosphere of the distant past.

The only museum in Russia dedicated to prehistoric hunters and fishermen transports guests to a recreated seasonal hunting camp from the Neolithic era (5th-3rd millennium BC). The exhibition's author, Pavel Nikolayevich Travkin, is a candidate of historical sciences, archaeologist, ethnographer, and specialist in tourism and museum affairs.

The museum is dedicated to the rich heritage of traditional crafts of the Ivanovo region, including jewelry art, linen jacquard weaving, Palekh and Kholuy lacquer miniatures, as well as Ivanovo embroidery. Located on the Volga embankment, the museum showcases a variety of artistic techniques, from openwork filigree to complex jacquard patterns.

Landscape Museum
Камерный музей с небольшой коллекцией картин мастеров прошлого и позапрошлого веков и экспозицией полотен современных художников, которые можно купить. Нам повезло, мы попали в музей в тот момент, когда там проводилась выставка великолепных произведений европейских авторов из московского Пушкинского музея.
