Parks and Squares of Plyos

Cathedral Hill is the heart, the historical center, and one of the most iconic places in the city. The hill rises 55 meters above the Volga, offering stunning panoramic views of the river and surroundings. Most tourists begin their journey in Plyos from Cathedral Hill. A modern public space opened after reconstruction in 2019. An area of more than 7.5 hectares was landscaped as part of a federal program, creating a comfortable place for relaxation and cultural events. The park includes walking paths, children's and sports playgrounds, a skate park, gazebos, and a stage for concerts. The pond, which attracts locals and tourists, has become home to ducks and a place for fishing. It is a popular spot among families with children, nature lovers, and outdoor enthusiasts.

The "Ivolga" Eco-Park is a small outdoor amusement park near Plyos, created with a focus on eco-friendliness and family recreation. It features rope courses, a forest café, workshops with natural materials, play areas for children, and glamping accommodations.

Additionally, the park has well-maintained forest trails leading directly to the Volga. It's pleasant to walk along them and enjoy nature, observing the trees and forest inhabitants. Along the route, there are unusual birdhouses in the form of miniature dwellings. The area is constantly being improved and treated for mosquitoes and ticks, ensuring maximum comfort during walks.

The Levitan Birch Grove is a birch reserve with picturesque paths. Here you can enjoy views of the Volga, breathe fresh air, and listen to birds singing. In spring and summer, the grove is awash with flowers, adding color to its beauty. This is the place where Levitan found inspiration for his masterpiece.
