Café "Sofya Petrovna Kuvshinnikova"
The Best Coffee Shop in Town
An atmospheric café in the historic buildings of the Plyos Temperance Society's Tea House and the state wine shop, allegedly founded by Isaac Levitan's student and friend, Sofia Petrovna. In the White or Red Hall, you can enjoy a cappuccino with a poppy-caramel éclair or champagne with a Shalyapin pie. All desserts, from cottage cheese kuleika to rum cake, are made in the pastry shop on the Trade Square in Plyos.
Ivolga Café
Cozy café with panoramic windows in a pine forest
The café in the Ivolga eco-park is a cozy place with transparent walls and delicious dishes, including signature desserts and drinks. On warm days, the summer terrace is open, where you can listen to the birds singing and feel the forest aroma, while in cooler times, you can sit by the warm fireplace with a blanket and hot tea. This café is perfect for family relaxation.
Coffee to Go
A small cozy café opposite the Plyos bus station is the perfect place to start your city walk. Here you will be offered aromatic coffee, homemade pies, casseroles, and cookies. In the courtyard with a view of the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity, tables are cozily tucked away. The café also offers charming souvenirs: magnets, painted plates, jams, toys, and books.
Cheburechnaya
The Tastiest Chebureks
The establishment offers a simple menu with a focus on chebureks according to the USSR recipe: with beef, pork, pink salmon, and cheese. The selection is complemented by samsa with chicken, sausages in dough, drinks, coffee, and desserts. Dishes can be taken away to enjoy by the Volga or enjoyed inside at one of the large tables.
Izba-Café
A cozy place where modern coffee culture meets the comfort of grandma's home. In a Russian izba, with a real stove and traditional utensils, pies are served according to old recipes, English scones, and unique dishes like utishka with Tambov ham and Kostroma cheese, and of course, coffee to suit every taste. Behind the izba is the Secret Garden — a secluded corner of nature, perfect for solitude and relaxation.
Kuleechnaya
The younger sister of "Kuvshinnikova's Coffeehouse." Tea, coffee, cocoa (including plant-based milk!) and fresh pastries — kuleika with homemade toppings, honey cake with melted sour cream, "elephant ear."
