  • Painting Masterclass with a Glass of Champagne

An art picnic in Plyos will allow you to feel like a true artist, turning the picturesque views of this city into your own painting. Even if you have no experience in painting, under the guidance of experienced artists, you will be able to create your own landscape inspired by the same views that inspired Levitan. The creative atmosphere is complemented by a buffet with a glass of champagne or aromatic herbal tea brewed in a samovar.

Plein airs are held in picturesque locations, each with its own unique history and atmosphere. Levitan's Hill, from which Levitan painted his famous works "Quiet Abode" and "Above Eternal Peace", Cathedral Hill with a panoramic view of the city, the embankment where the coolness of the Volga and the shade of ancient trees create ideal conditions for creativity, as well as the banks of the Shokhonka River, allowing you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of impressionism — all these places inspire creativity.

During the 2-3 hour plein air, participants will learn many interesting stories about the stay in Plyos of celebrities such as Isaac Levitan, Fyodor Chaliapin, and Vladimir Makovsky. In addition, there is an opportunity to get acquainted with the alla prima technique in oil painting and fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of country calm and Russian provincial coziness.

If there are fewer than 4 participants, the masterclass is conducted by artist Alexey, who has been working in the technique of artistic realism for over 25 years and has created more than 3,000 paintings. If there are more participants, his colleagues assist in conducting the class, ensuring an individual approach to each guest.

Throughout the masterclass, comfortable conditions are created: the possibility to choose the format of work — standing or sitting, the availability of aprons and shirts to protect clothing, and in cold or rainy weather, classes are held in the studio. Finished works of art are carefully packed, allowing them to be easily and safely transported home.
