To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Plyos Museum-Reserve presents a large-scale exhibition from its collection, dedicated to the events of 1941–1945. The exposition covers a wide range of topics: from the beginning of the war to liberation, from the siege of Leningrad to the battles on the Little Land and the life of Plyos during the wartime hardships. The exhibition features works of painting, graphics, sculpture, and material culture items — letters, documents, newspaper clippings, personal belongings of front-line soldiers, home front workers, and medical staff. Important places are occupied by the works of front-line artists: paintings by K. P. Frolov, I. L. Bruni, S. F. Abdulaev, graphics by P. Ya. Kirpichev, sculptures by M. S. Aleshchenko. Also on display are originals of wartime press — "Pravda," "Red Star," "Izvestia" — as crucial sources of information and means of moral support. Songs of the war years playing in the halls create an authentic atmosphere of the time. The project is complemented by an audio guide and a guidebook, allowing each visitor to deeply feel the heroism, pain, and hope reflected in the destinies of millions.
