Unique Painting Style and "Wearable Sculpture"

The creative collaboration between the People's Artist of Russia Leonid Malafeevski and his daughter Elizaveta has led to the creation of a unique exhibition project in Plyos, combining painting and jewelry art. This exhibition will interest those who see beauty in harmony and believe that art is meant to satisfy the natural human desire to live in an aesthetically designed world.

Leonid Malafeevski hails from Vologda. In 1980, he graduated from the Moscow Higher School of Art and Industry, known as the Stroganov School. The artist has participated in international, all-union, all-Russian, and regional exhibitions, and has held several solo exhibitions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, and Vologda. This year, he celebrates his 70th birthday with the opening of an exhibition in Plyos.

Leonid Alekseevich is known as a versatile artist, working in various genres and always ready for creative experiments. His works, previously characterized by softness and lyricism, are now filled with energy and bright, resonant colors. Malafeevski has created his unique style, intertwining elements of impressionism, symbolism, and abstract expressionism.

A constant striving for the new has become the artist's life philosophy. One of his latest experiments is painting with oil. He also often takes his old works and reworks them, explaining this as a desire to complicate the pictorial structure.

Elizaveta Malafeevski was born in Yaroslavl into a family of artists. She is an architect and jewelry designer, as well as the founder and concept developer of the brand Liza Malafeevski. Elizaveta is a member of the Moscow Union of Artists and the Union of Artists of Russia.

Since 2014, she has been creating "wearable sculpture," which looks beautiful on its own but gains new strength on a woman's body. Elizaveta prefers pure forms, where proportions and details play a key role.

The young brand Liza Malafeevski represents avant-garde silver jewelry, where concise forms and smooth lines resemble abstract architecture in miniature. Elizaveta calls her works "my little big architecture." The main material for her jewelry is sterling silver. The brand's assortment includes bracelets, rings, earrings, brooches, and necklaces, each piece made in limited quantities.

Despite belonging to different generations and working in various art genres, Leonid and Elizaveta Malafeevski are united by a refined aesthetic, a striving for experimentation, conciseness, and a symbolic perception of the world.
