Krylov House
Description
The main bedroom with panoramic views of the Volga and Zarechye is decorated in the English style of the Anna Karenina era. The smaller bedroom, with "toile de Jouy" wallpaper, reflects French taste. Each bedroom has a bathroom with a shower, and there is a third guest bathroom at the garden exit. The house, with an area of 110 sq.m., comfortably accommodates four people.
The living room-library is equipped with a cozy sofa, armchair, gilded bronze table lamps, teak tables, and a porcelain collection.
The dining room is located on a warm glazed veranda, and the kitchen and pantry have a separate entrance for the cook.
The garden on the slope of Cathedral Hill offers unique panoramic views of the Volga and Zarechye.
The Krylov House, built in the 1870s, is depicted in Prokudin-Gorsky's color photograph "View of the Settlement with the Main Cathedral" (1910). It has retained its historical appearance outside, while decorators Natalia and Alexey Shevtsov created a magnificent interior. Guests have included Danila Kozlovsky, Philipp Kirkorov, Ivan Urgant, Sergey Svetlakov, Marusya Fomina.
